  <description>The point shapefile shows business locations where Obama campaign spent money in the month of April, 2008. 
Between Jan and Jun, 2008, Obama has spent record amounts of money (over $200 million) for his presidential bid. Nearly $38.3 million were spent in April alone. The top five locations in terms of $ amount and type of expenditure for April, 2008 are:  

1. Philadelphia, PA 19175; Media buy, over $17 million
2. Ft. Lauderdale, FL 333360; Credit card charge, over $2.4 million
3. Kansas City, MO 64153; Air Travel, over $2 million
4. St. Louis, MO 63102; Media buy, over $1.3 million 
5. Milwaukee, WI 53127; Printing, nearly $800k million

Note that the data for expenditure was extracted from the monthly campaign finance report filed by Obama campaign for the month of April 2008. 
The expenditure data was aggregated by Business names and then geocoded.
